ASL Aviation, a key partner for express carriers, has acquired two Boeing 747 freighters from a leasing company, according to FreightWaves. The purchase represents a strategic move to ensure continued access to the wide-body cargo aircraft, which remain in high demand for long-haul freight operations.
Concurrently with the 747 acquisition, the company is redeploying smaller aircraft from its European operations to strengthen its Australian subsidiary. This realignment reflects shifting capacity needs across its international network and positions the carrier to better serve regional demand.
