Jeanie Elizabeth Singleton, 84, a native of Nashville, Kansas, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, according to the Elreno Tribune. Born on August 2, 1942, to Harold Cavin and Margaret Mae Lucas Cavin, Singleton maintained ties to her Kansas roots throughout her life while pursuing a career in public service.

Singleton married Kenneth Don Singleton on June 6, 1961, in Oklahoma City, and the couple eventually settled in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she spent her later years. A funeral service was held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, with Pastor Emeritus Kim Hayes officiating the ceremony.
