Sembcorp Plans $500M IPO of India Green Infrastructure Unit

Singapore conglomerate Sembcorp Industries is preparing to take its Indian green infrastructure subsidiary public in a potential $500 million offering.

Sembcorp Industries, a Singapore-based industrial conglomerate, is moving forward with plans to launch an initial public offering of its Indian subsidiary, Sembcorp Green Infra Ltd., according to sources briefed on the company's strategy. The transaction could raise approximately $500 million for the company, marking a significant capital markets move for the green infrastructure unit.

The IPO filing would represent Sembcorp's effort to unlock value in its renewable energy and infrastructure operations in India, one of the world's fastest-growing markets for clean energy development. The offering comes as global investors increasingly seek exposure to India's energy transition initiatives and sustainable infrastructure projects.
